Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 June 2026
Numberville ("the app", "we", "us") is a maths game made for children, published by AJ Development. We built Numberville to be safe and private by design. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the app does and does not handle.
Who this app is for
Numberville is designed for children aged roughly 4 to 9, used with the awareness of a parent or guardian. We are committed to complying with children's privacy laws including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the UK/EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including its protections for children.
Information we collect
We have designed Numberville to work without collecting personal information. Specifically:
- No account is required. You do not need to give a name, email address, phone number or date of birth to play.
- Game progress stays on the device. Things like coins, streaks, answered questions and your decorated house are saved locally on the device using the device's own storage. We do not upload this to our servers.
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. We do not ask children for personal information and do not request access to contacts, photos, location or the camera.
Device permissions
The app may request limited device permissions purely to make features work on your device. These are used locally and are not used to identify your child:
- Audio / media playback. Used to play the game's sounds, music and feedback effects.
You can review and change app permissions at any time in your device's settings.
Advertising and tracking
Numberville contains no third-party advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs intended to profile your child. We do not sell or share personal information, because we do not collect it.
App stores
Numberville is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. When you download or update the app, those stores process information (such as your store account and device) under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. Please review:
Data retention and deletion
Because game data is stored on the device, you remain in control of it. Deleting the app, or clearing its data in your device settings, removes the stored progress. We do not hold a separate copy.
Parental rights
As a parent or guardian, you have the right to review the information associated with your child and to remove it. Since the data lives on the device, you can do this directly by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app. If you have any questions or requests, contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add a new feature. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version here. Significant changes will be highlighted within the app or on this website.
